Happy Purim everybody,
Short version first: I need to compile a thesis with Ivritex, but the
English \maketitle command fails while trying to compute whether it is a
Hebrew Leap Year ?! (Hebrew \maketile works fine).
I need a quick and dirty solution. The stress on quick. I don't care even
if I have to type \hebrewhe all over. Have I mentioned that this thesis
should be in print tomorrow?
Details:
I am trying to compile a thesis using IvriteX (that is, elatex, with
Ivritex installed). IvritX is the latest version (according to the Debian
apt-get):

I am using a rather old class file I think, called iitthes.cls. At least,
I could not find any newer version of it.
When compiling the thesis, the \maketitle command causes the following
error:
