Dear friends, The IBM Haifa Research Laboratories (HRL) cordially invite you to a seminar that will take place on March 16, 2004, at 11AM, in the main Auditorium of HRL. The seminar is open to the general public. IBM Haifa Research Labs are located on the Haifa University campus, Mt. Carmel (for directions, see http://www.haifa.il.ibm.com/visitorinfo.html). There is no need to register in advance, but you will need to present a picture ID at the reception of the IBM Haifa building. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide parking space for the seminar audience. ======================================================================= speaker: Nadav Harel, IBM HRL: title: Hspell - ???? ???? ???? ????? The Hspell project is a free Hebrew linguistic project. Its primary goal is to create a free Hebrew spell-checker. We have already achieved that goal, and you are invited to Download the latest version of the spell-checker. The secondary goal is to make the algorithms and dictionaries, created initially for the spell-checker, freely available. These could be used in more sophisticated research or applications that require Hebrew word lists or a Hebrew morphology engine. Such potential application areas might include search engines, speech synthesis, and much much more. The availability of a free basis will hopefully encourage free development on top of it, to the benefit of the general Hebrew-speaking population. Hspell was written by Nadav Har'El and Dan Kenigsberg. http://www.ivrix.org.il/projects/spell-checker ======================================================================== For more information on HRL please visit http://www.haifa.il.ibm.com/ For more information on HRL weekly seminars please visit http://domino.research.ibm.com/comm/wwwr_seminar.nsf/index.html We will be happy to see you at HRL. -------------------------------------------------- David Carmel Information Retrieval Group IBM Research Lab, Haifa 31905, Israel Phone: 972-4-829-6223 Fax: 972-4-829-6116 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----- End forwarded message ----- -- Muli Ben-Yehuda http://www.mulix.org | http://mulix.livejournal.com/
