again meet to hear Alon Altman cover a subject which was requested by
many of the recent w2l audiance:
Dancing the SAMBA
An introduction to living with Windows
This lecture will cover standard cases of configuration of SAMBA and CUPS
for a mixed Linux-Windows home network. It will cover the following
topics:
* Accessing Windows shares on a local network (temporarily and
permanently).
* Sharing your files for access by Windows machines on a local
network.
* Printing to printers shared by Windows machines on a local network.
* Sharing your printers with Windows machines on a local network.
The lecture will NOT cover "Active Diretory" or "Windows NT domains",
whatever that means.
