initrd means init ram disk, it is a file system loaded as the default
file system, probably this file system contains an init script that
starts the slackware installation.
There should be a proper initrd.img probably also in the boot directory.

label = install initrd = /slackware/isolinux/initrd.img
read-only
and lilo booted the slackware installation program .
is there anything wrong with what i did ?
