As all the rights on the lectures were given to hamakor, and as this is something hamakor once authrized, there is no problem, up to the fact you ask people to allocate ~30GB of hard disk for that.

If people are willing to host such data base - be my guest. Given the fact that during the years there were very few who bought the CDs (actually two, one of them was me), the money is not that important...

Anyhow, if someone is willing to allocate this space (or even part of it) for the lectures on some server (http, ftp, anything), that would be really nice.

Try Orna's FOSS lecture from last year W2L series, based on Nadav's article.

While browsing through the lectures list I've noticed several lectures were filmed.

In the video page, you mention the lectures are sold at the price of the CD they are burnt on, the burner and the parts of the camera. Assuming the burner and camera have been used for other purposes since, and maybe their cost has even been covered by people who bought the CDs until now, why not sharing the lectures on bit torrent?

Not only would it make it a bit cheaper, it would also bring more viewers, which is always positive.

On a different note, I am looking for a lecture/several lectures describing open source in general. Advantages and disadvantages of oss over "closed source" software, maybe some examples of projects, and the financial structure behind it (how to make money out of oss).

It is also important that the lecture is licensed under GPL/CC or any other license allowing me to use the slides...

Please let me know if you know of anything good.

Thanks ahead,

Yoni.
