Hi The company I work for just ran into the thing called ISO9000. It seems that one thing they want is to have coding guidelines for every programming language used. Right now we have C, shell, perl, python and PHP.
For C we mostly work on some existing projects. For the rest, I figure that the kernel ones[1] are sane enough. The kernel folks also bothered writing a small script to check for most of them (checkpatch.pl). What would you recommend for coding guidelines for PHP and shell?
