MediaWiki: The software behind Wikipedia
Abstract
MediaWiki is a Free software package for setting up a wiki site. It was
originally developed to support Wikipedia, and now it is used by thousands of
other sites. The lecture will show the general structure of the software on the
level of user and on the level of the developer, it will demonstrate some of
its unique features such as broad internationalization support and
sophisticated JavaScript loading techniques, and will give the participants an
opportunity to contribute to its development.
