I've always hated that Perl-like syntax for creating strings/arrays. If
we do add another way of creating a string, it'll almost definitely be a
single quote. But even so, I think a few backslashes aren't the end of
the world. I'm curious to hear what other people have to say, though -
if there's enough push for it, I'd be willing to back down.
