You can't embed variables into filters. You'll be able to eventually
(probably as of Haml 1.8), but not yet.

I think the best option would be to move the static stuff into an external
CSS file, then do something like

%style{:type => "text/css"}
  == #calendar_container { height: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; }
