Jon,

I've added haml support to the ruby-on-rails bundle a few months ago. 
You need:

git clone git://github.com/drnic/ruby-on-rails-tmbundle.git

Once you have that, when you're sitting in a haml file, make sure you 
have the Ruby Haml bundle selected.

W.r.t. the "jit" tab trigger, that didn't work indeed. Fixed that.
