I personally love Haml and use it exclusively on all my projects. When I was learning Haml I really wanted to see a thorough use case so I could get a better feel of all its wonderfulness and goodness.
Well, I never got that chance but I hope this might be useful to those of you that are starting to learn Haml or haven't seen the light yet. I am working on an open source project intended for student recruitment and alumni development use built on the Rails framework and Haml (not a shred of erb) throughout. It could be a helpful reference particularly for the n00bs and might shed light on some questions you might have on "why haml?". The code can be browsed at https://rubycampus.org/repositories/show/rubycampus or just start at the beginning at https://rubycampus.org/ there is also a demo of the on going project so you can see how things are rendered as you may not want or need to install the project.
