Nathan,

I'm running edge Haml 2.1.0, which I just updated this morning. It turns out that the following line was giving me trouble:

ActionView::Template.register_template_handler(:haml, Haml::Template)

When I uncommented that, I managed to get my app running. I still don't understand what's wrong with this line, though.

I'm having trouble getting an error with our test suite. What revision
of Haml are you using? Could you provide a sample bare-bones Rails app
that displays the error?

Chris,

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately, removing the init code
and running haml --rails . has no effect. Do you have any other ideas?

I would try removing your haml initialization code and running:

haml --rails .

from within the top level of your project.
