Appreciate the suggestion. I'm not sure that would really work because the exactly layout doesn't work for text - some things need to be in a different order in text than html. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd like to avoid learning a new tool just in hopes that I'm wrong about why it won't work for me.
To Chris, the problem here is that this isn't content. The content is all coming from a database. My haml code is all structure. I did end up converting it to ERB, and it was *horrible*.
