Is there a reason why Haml uses ' and " as character replacements over its unnamed, decimal-based counterparts (' and &;#34; respectively)?
Internet Explorer 7 and 8 are consistently bombing for me when I try to use Dojo's data-dojo-props alongside Haml when using these named entities. If I patch Haml to use the decimal entities it works without a hitch. If there isn't a reason for this, I'll be happy to open a pull request.
