Now, if you are looking for a new laptop, I can tell you that I just purchased a NEC Versa M350 (Celeron 1.5 Ghz), 512 Mb DDRAM, DVD-CDRW, 60 Gb HD, etc. (924 $US TTC), Wireless, Lan, Modem, WIN XP Home. This laptop is for the C3LD project. It works fine after booting with a live Knoppix 4.0 (battery not well recognized, however). That's a nice piece of hardware and it is among the cheapest brand new laptop that we may buy out here. So if you want to have a peek while it's still new, just drop by.
