Dear Mr. Nam, I perfectly agree with Mr. Tremblay when he says that we should keep our comment on the "other SFD" for after the event and I intended to give my advice after the event too.
But I'm very surprise with your attitude when you speak about professionalism and your lack of diplomatie. Moreover when you send the message below. In French we say: putting oil on fire. Of course, some members of the Hanoilug are disappointed with the "other SFD" because they consider the Hanoian SFD as their "own baby". After 4 years of common efforts, without a lot of funding, it's quite understandable and their reactions may be though, especially when professional people read that he's not consider as a professional by the biggest software company in Vietnam. You should understand that. Your message below as nothing to do with humour nor fun. I'm very surprise because when I went to your front page, this comment was not present. If this comment as existed, I and I'm sure, most of the Hanoilug's members do not agree with this kind of child like behaviour. So it would be more diplomatic if you just send it to us for information with the IP add of the writer and so, Hanoilug could do some moderation with the member who wrote that. Anyway I personally think that we should thank you for your moderation on FPT page because this kind of comment does more harm to Hanoilug's event then to FPT's one. Anybody who read this on your web page may think we're nuts. So again, you have my thanks. Finally, about having 2 SFD in the same area, there is no problem because it should just push a good competition between the 2 events and separates two different points of view of FOSS. So each event can focus on its own ethic. Doing agressive competition would be a lack of time and energy when there is nothing to earn and credibility to loose. FOSS has for main goal to share knowledge with others. So a only one company making this event alone appears more as a marketing opportunity (especially when they present only their own products) then an event to spread the philosophy of FOSS.
