I've just built and uploaded the packages for version 1.4.0 of "libm17n-0" and "m17n-db" to our HanoiLUG APT repository in the "experimental" section of Gutsy.
Since Gutsy already has all the required "scim" and "gtk" versions, it was just a matter of rebuilding the packages I already did (without success) for feisty. I've just tested them a bit and everything seems to be fine. Especially, there is no more problem with putting tone mark on 3-vowels words. Please test it as much as you can! If there is no problem I'll move it to the "contrib" section by the end of next week (Christmas present? ;-) ) so it will be available for every people using the HanoiLUG APT repository. BEWARE : IT WILL ONLY WORK WITH Ubuntu "Gutsy Gibbon" 7.10 !! Reminder: - put this line in "/etc/apt/sources.list.d/hanoilug.list" : deb http://apt.hanoilug.org/ubuntu gutsy contrib import experimental - update your package list using this: aptitude update - install these packages with this (automatically brings m17n-db) : aptitude install libm17n-0 - disable x-unikey start with your session (if any) using this: touch ~/.unikey/disable - set SCIM as your default input method using this: sudo im-switch -s scim (if you get any trouble, try "scim-immodule" instead of "scim" here) - disconnect from your session and reconnect again and that's it! -- Jean Christophe "????"
