I'm not sure if I understand your question, but you are looking to install a
server that is easy to use
I recommend you try the ebox-platform package in ubuntu
http://www.howtoforge.com/running-a-file-and-print-server-with-ebox-on-ubuntu8.04-server
or download the complete distro
http://ebox-platform.com/
Or try smeserver, but it is based on centos not SUSE or ubuntu
