About one year ago there is already a netbook aimed at student in
Vietnam, it is a Classmate PC (intel) preinstalled with hacao Linux,
too bad the price is pretty high, 340$ for one, or 250$ for a student,
and the spec aren't so high (though it is still accepable for a
netbook):

As a student myself, I have an interest in these devices, but IMO,
there aren't any netbook that is suit perfectly for students in
VietNam. OLPC is quite interesting, but we can't get it unless our
government do something. One feature that I think is the most
important for a student netbook is the ability to convert to a tablet,
like tablet PC. There is one from ASUS, but it is very expensive
(700$?), OLPC has this too, but as I said above, we can't get it yet,
and it is so rugged that it can even make a good blunt weapon :P I
heard that there gonna be an ARM-powered netbook coming out, and
Ubuntu is going to support it, if so it might be interesting as ARM is
a very good processor with low power consume rate.

Anyway, I am very interested in this idea, so if anyone decide to do
this, please let me join, a netbook for student has alway been my
dream since the debut of ASUS Eee.

Have a good day, everyone!
