I don't think there is any troll here: everybody should know that LaTeX
is better, in quality *and* productivity (because of the high ability to
reuse previous work), once you master it! :-D

But for any *advanced* tool ? and LaTeX is one of this kind ? sure it's
not easy to master it and you can not recommend it for low-level
quick-and-dirty home-made productions.

Say it another way: it is not for those people who press [Enter] 20
times to get more space in the page, and don't want to learn there is a
better way to do it! (?sig?)

In fact this is what the author says in his introduction:

  "Five good reasons for not using LaTeX

There is multiple reasons why you should absolutely not use LaTeX:
1. you use a word-processor only to make your wishing cards, your
   email, write a few notes, and so on ;
2. you love mice (1 or 3 buttons indifferently) and you think the
   only way to write equations is to use them (the mice) a lot ;
3. you think Unix is headache and not user-friendly and/or you
   specifically hate every programming language ;
4. you find normal : 1/ that your preferred software can not read
   the document you've produced in the previous version, and/or
   2/ that the new version force you to change you operating system,
   and 3/ that the new version of that so-called operating system
   force you to change your computer, and 4/ that your new computer?
5. you don't know where is the \ key on your keyboard ;

If you recognize yourself in any of these categories, you should
continue using your current system."

Note: the translation is from me, so it's probably not as good as the
French version is!
