I look at it this way: What is the advantage of having that thing over a linksys/asus router with DD-WRT on it (note: they also have USB ports)? If Marvell cannot come up with a reasonable answer, I don't think they're gonna success. They put tons of RAM and ROM and CPU power and whatnot on that thing, which is way too much for a print server/personal file server/media server..., but is way too weak to do anything other than that (say, dedicated video encoding or compiling or folding at home). What is the best way of using that half baked thing? I would say, like Intel atom platform, it can make a sweet desktop or HTPC, that is email and web browsing and tube8. But they did not include a video/audio out port. So I wonder which market segment/which application area they are targeting? I smell vapor. -- Huan Truong
