Hi all,
This is James Li from the Beijing
Lug(http://www.beijinglug.org/en/index.php) . Me and my wife are
visiting Hanoi from Sep 29 - Oct 7. I glimpsed through the Hanoi Lug
website and noticed a cafe GNU/Linux.. Can anyone tell me where it is?
Would be great to drop by and have a cafe or drink.
Unfortunately, this is an obsolete information. The Linux Cafe was
initiated by David Tremblay (from Quebec, Canada) who worked in Vietnam
several years and returned to Quebec for nearly 3 years now. Since his
departure, nobody continued the permanence at the Linux cafe which was
on Friday evening.
You can have drinks and coffee in lots of places in hanoi, BTW.
A bit about myself. I am a software developer and system administrator.
Though I am doing more developing now than administration. Most of work
I do I do it in Perl. I have been involve with Perl and Linux since
2000(talks, organizing workshop and attending local perl monger meetings
and lug meetings)
We have a kind of permanence (Ubuntu-VN loco team) at my working place
every saturday afternoon (2:00-5:30 pm). So you're welcome to pass by
and have some tea or coffee here.
If you are not familiar with circulating in Hanoi, you can find us on a
map here:

Have a nice stay in Hanoi.
Best regards
