huh, is this true that Unikey works on Wine??? i always believe that Unikey hooks Windows OS at kernel level, so how is it possible for Wine/CrossOver to support that???? _______________________________________________
I'm absolutely sure that Unikey works pretty well with Wine layers. I have been running it for a while and had absolutely no problems with it. Unikey doesn't work on kernel space but user space, using Windows APIs to do the hooking and IPC. Wine has a compatibility layer which contains lots of common Windows APIs (providing hooking technique). So an application like Unikey or any other input methods should work well. It's unlikely to find applications other than device drivers work on kernel space. Still not believe me? Try it! Use it with Wine's builtin Notepad :-) Best regards, -- Yang Nguyen Web log: http://cmpitg.wordpress.com/ Life is a hack _______________________________________________ POST RULES : http://wiki.hanoilug.org/hanoilug:mailing_list_guidelines _______________________________________________ HanoiLUG mailing lists: http://lists.hanoilug.org/ HanoiLUG wiki: http://wiki.hanoilug.org/ HanoiLUG blog: http://blog.hanoilug.org/
