Hi folks,
I think the biggest mistake of the benchmark is that the conductor
doesn't understand what's inside the hat. 1) He used both desktop and
laptop, which have different hardware sets and drivers, for the test
without specifying which runs which (What? Is he kidding me?). 2) He
also used different distros (Ubuntu + Fedora) for different tasks,
which would *probably* lead to huge memory consumption. 3) In fact, I
beg he didn't even use a fresh installation of each desktop
environment to benchmark. (Building his own XFCE-Diversity and use it
to compare??? I don't think so). That's ugly and stupid. Just look
at [1] Phoronix's methods and you will see. 4) Besides, a book
*can't* be judged by its cover, the guy was doing the opposite.
