On desktop - yes On server - no On mobile - no And the kind of relationship between Windows and Linux is different than between Linux and *BSD. > Same thing goes for IE, it used to be THE de-facto browser, remember? They did, when every pages have to be compatible with IE6. And how did that changed? Mozilla with their superior browser changed that while IE was stagnant. Now if *BSD becomes better and Linux becomes stagnant, that will happen again (but it doesn't look like it will happen any time soon, right?). Oh, and btw, FreeBSD has linux binary compatibility layer (not the API though) _______________________________________________ POST RULES : http://wiki.hanoilug.org/hanoilug:mailing_list_guidelines _______________________________________________ HanoiLUG mailing lists: http://lists.hanoilug.org/ HanoiLUG wiki: http://wiki.hanoilug.org/ HanoiLUG blog: http://blog.hanoilug.org/
