On Friday 24 June Carnegie Mellon University – Australia (CMU-A) will
sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Vietnamese Ministry of
Science and Technology (MOST) for a range of collaborative activities
focusing on the uptake of open technologies in the Vietnamese public
sector and the ICT training, and education required as part of this
large-scale transformation.
This agreement follows months of negotiations initiated by MOST
involving the South Australian Government's Chief Information Officer
Andrew Mills, CMU-A Executive Director Professor Terry Buss and the
Open Technology Foundation's General Manager Stephen Schmid.
To mark the significance of this MoU a delegation of Vietnamese
officials will visit the campus to discuss various elements of the
agreement.
