Honnestly, I have no idea, I really hate this crappy packaging system :-( You have the right to run both daemons to do different things but the way they are packaged makes that complicated. You may want to try with a package from the syslog-ng site, probably that it's packaged to be installed in a different directory. Otherwise, build it yourself, it's easy. Regards, Willy
