The latest 1.4 version will be included in the next Ubuntu version (10.10). As a solution, if you don't want to package it yourself, you can already use the package from Maverick : http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick/haproxy - compatible with Ubuntu 10.4 (no dependencies update, they're compatible with the versions provided by Lucid) - it's a real haproxy 1.4.8 (no patch applied) - init script is provided You can use dpkg on the deb file without updating your apt sources. -- Cyril Bonté
