Hi all,

I didn't realize how old 1.5-dev7 was, so it was time to issue a new one,
especially given the number of fixes that went in since.

So 1.5-dev8 brings many fixes and minor optimizations. The ACL framework was
reworked to share the same pattern extraction methods as the stick-table, but
that work is not complete yet.

One major change concerns the log subsystem which was completely rewritten at
Exceliance so that you can now have you own log format. New information can
be logged sur as the outgoing source IP/port, etc... And the bonus is that
doing so improved logging performance :-)

We owe a big thanks to Sander Klein who was brave enough to take significant
risks in production for the sake of offering us an exploitable core caused
by a very recent regression in the logging subsystem. Without his help we
would have an unstable -dev8!

Olufemi Omojola was also kind enough to provide a core and config showing
that mixing captures and TCP mode was unsafe, so that has been fixed and
more controls were added in the config parser.

I invite you to report any issues with this version ASAP, because I'm going
to make important changes to buffers. The goal is to ease data manipulation
and particularly compression, which is being developped at Exceliance.

As usual, server-side keep-alive is not there yet, as I'm spending my time
doing other things, but in the end I'd possibly expect that it pays off if
the architecture changes I'm working on help getting compression, native
SSL and multi-process... More info on this later :-)

In the mean time, you can update your version to 1.5-dev8 which is available
