Willy, Remember last time we saw a lot of retransmit, it was due to bad LAN devices and we lost almost 40% of traffic when flooding the servers / gateway from the LB.
Wolfgang, just try some ping flood from your HAproxy server to its default gateway or to one of the server beghind and check the packet loss. cheers
