Then it only depends on two factors :
  - the ability for the client or server to close the connection after
    some time ;
  - the session inactivity which will trigger haproxy's timeout resulting
    in killing the connection

You can also kill the connection by yourself from the stats socket by
issuing "shutdown session server XXX".
