OK, I understand that but when downloading the latest version you're writing about and compiling it, it says "20121228" 


1.5-dev17 is _not_ the latest snapshot. You can find the latest snapshot from 
the URL Willy already posted:
http://haproxy.1wt.eu/download/1.5/src/snapshot/haproxy-ss-20121230.tar.gz
