Hi guys,

For once, I'll abuse the list's purpose.

We'd like to reinforce the development team of the ALOHA Load Balancer
(http://www.exceliance.fr/en). This is the same team who has already
brought many goodies into HAProxy over the years, including IPv6, logs,
compression, SSL, with yet more to come.

We're looking for a developer who feels at ease with the philosophy of
embedded systems (constrained resources, fault tolerance, user errors,
regression testing, ability to always recover from errors, ...), who
has solid skills in Shell, C, HTTP, TCP/IP, uses Git, SVN, diff and
patch without thinking about it, feels capable of propagating feature
updates bottom-up in the service scripts, API and Web interface, who
is not scared by hardware nor patching the Linux kernel and who can
quickly become autonomous improving on the work of others without
everytime considering redoing everything from scratch. Another
important point is that the person must act responsibly with the bugs
he/she will inevitably introduce from time to time, and handle this
directly with the support team and affected customers. Speaking
English is an absolute requirement in our context.

Yes, I know I'm demanding much but I'm quite convinced we don't have
them all yet and there are many talented people outside, especially on
this list :-)

The job is set in our office in Jouy-en-Josas, close to Paris. It is
not absolutely required to be present every day, though being mostly
present is highly desired.

To be clear on one point, the work is mainly focused on the ALOHA
product line which occasionally means working on HAProxy and Linux
kernel. So please don't immediately jump and say "Wow cool, some
OSS-only development", it's not only that.

If you want more details, or if you think you could possibly be
interested, please contact me directly.

Thanks,
Willy
