Hi all, one important thing of 1.5 is (and it may be for others, too) the support of SSL in HAProxy itself.
If you feel SSL support being stable I would really like to see a release. This is THE main reason for 1.5. Please don't put the burdon of patching relevant fixes to the current users. (It's not patching, but filtering which patches are relevant). Best regards Andreas Mock -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Lukas Tribus [mailto:[email protected]] Gesendet: Samstag, 21. I suspect Willy doesn't have a fixed date for 1.5 becoming stable. I believe he would like to introduce full server side keepalive in 1.5, but it will probably require some architectural modifications and it will likely introduce new regressions (and take some time, of course). So yes, 1.5 will probably introduce a few bugs before becoming stable. That doesn't mean the current 1.5 is not reliable, but there is a good chance of new regressions with new features and code reorganizations coming in. What is your use case exactly? Do you need to deploy a single solution or do you need to implement this in a commercial product? You could for example branch off the current 1.5 tree and only merge relevant bugfixes from upstream, until it 1.5 becomes stable. But that means you need to maintain a separate code branch. Regards, Lukas
