I have an active/active haproxy setup using keepalived. The pair is running: -Haproxy 1.5-dev21-6b07bf7, released +2013/12/17 -CentOS 6.4 On XenServer 6.2 What we are experiencing are random unexplained timeouts on health checks, 503 errors from haproxy saying no backends are available when 1. health checks are successful 2. the backend servers are up and the string visibly matches In addition, the load balancing is very uneven even though i've specified balance round robin (this is based on the stats page) The configuration was pulled together through some basic research, borrowing bits and pieces from what seemed to be wheat I needed.
