We're all interested in DNS SRV as there is some demand. Internally we have developers interested in working on it. I specifically asked that the design discussions start here so that we're certain to cover all needs. And in fact your e-mail is already very useful :-) According to Baptiste, we're not too far away from using DNS SRV, he even had an experimental patch for this. What is a bit more complicated is to implement auto-scaling in the backend but we have some ideas regarding this (ie: added servers must remain more or less stable across reloads, consistent across all LB nodes, have similar IDs for monitoring and similar cookies for stickiness). All this will have to be discussed here to ensure we don't forget anything. Cheers, Willy
