Sorry for the lag. Well, we are pretty busy these days. And this subject
is unfortunately still in our todo-list. We definitely need to have a
way to wake up specific threads on demand, independently of the sync
point. What have been done in these patches was experimental and need to
be reworked to be acceptable. But no idea of when and how for now. Sorry.
For the backport of the feature in 1.8, I really don't know if it will
be done. It highly depends on the extent of the changes.
