As far as I know, some of the API were not totally replaced (the ENGINE part for example) so we can't remove that for now. The deprecated flag is an indicator and I don't know any distribution which build with this way, so we are safe for now, but we should definitively migrate what is deprecated if that's possible. -- William Lallemand
