As the upcoming 3.3 looks that this will be big stable one :-), maybe there
is any chance for a short check if the https://github.com/microsoft/mimalloc
helps HAProxy in any case?

Still not tested, and time flies. It would indeed deserve some testing
but it's hard to suggest users to try a different allocator in prod,
and from experience, synthetic tests generally provide very different
patterns than production (traffic speed-ups and slow-downs, reloads,
dynamic updates, etc), which is often what matters the most.

Maybe we should start a discussion on the github pages about allocators,
how to test them and share feedback. That could possibly encourage some
users to give them a try on a less busy day.

Done. https://github.com/haproxy/haproxy/issues/3158

I'm not the guy to check this as it's far from my knowledge and experience.
I fully understand when it's not possible.

No problem. In my case it's a matter of time and priorities. There are
so many things to finish and fix that this one is still, sadly, less
important.

Thanks for the reminder!
Willy

Aleks
