As I said (not sure whether you've read all the explanation since you're top-posting), it was not expected and is considered as a bug, and the fix is marked for backporting as far as 3.2, which will of course include 3.4.x. But in any case it's not a good idea to mix -dD with -dW in pure config checks. Hoping this helps, willy
