Next Tuesday! You know, we have the carnival festival here, which begin (today
already) Saturday and will last till Monday.. ;-)

Seriously though, I must admit that I was not ready for such an involvement
challenge,
but I assure you, my message was intended to be a constructive message,
and No, i am not looking for a "looser" willing to make something for me for
free,
moreover, in case that I had to deal with such a person, I would never describe
him as "looser"
but rather a generous (where the leading 'g' coming from genius) man who would
deserve all my respect and appreciation.
(needless to say that you, and all harbour developers, fall into this greatly
appreciated category of experts,
who have taken "a stalled to death" project and have made it the most exciting
xbase compiler since 20th century's clipper.)

Now, about the documentation subject, I didn't say it is an "easy" task.
Besides, the quality levels of harbour development have been set too high,
(i'd say scaring high <g>), and as i understand it, any attemp to document the
project must conform to these high levels.
That said, I'm not sure that I am the most qualified person to become a harbour
documentor.
On the other hand, i am definitely sure that i want to help/contribute, to the
measure i can.
I know that "having some ideas" about how things must be done (like the
"thought" i did post in my previous message),
to the point to put these ideas to work, the gap is notoriously huge.
However, no job can be done without a basic plan, which in turn is based on
"some ideas".
My very basic idea is that we must start creating a functions reference
skeleton, keeping some fundamental priorities:
a. it must be concise and complete
b. it must be correct
c. it must be usable
d. it must be open to anyone willing to add extensions (particularly, source
code samples) provided that don't break b. and c.

For now, this is all i can think plus that i am willing to offer my limited
time and my broken english, but since i am not a technical writer
i have no idea about the real difficulties, specific demands or potential
obstacles that could void the task.
I just say: okay, send me whatever texts you think are appropriate for starting
and give me some time to study "if and how" i could edit and give a form to
them.
Even better, if you have a more elaborated plan, please let me know how i could
help.

regards,

Pete
