Yes. The problem is in some situations when fontheight or width is bigger
than expected.
Remove
if( width <= maxWidth &&
height <= maxHeight &&
tm.tmAveCharWidth >= 3 &&
tm.tmHeight >= 4 )
and it will be set right. I did it previously but you removed. Just test.
