My friends

All is well, Viktor and I cleared this up in email and he's ok with my posting this:

Nope Paul, but I didn't even try very hard.

Building from source fails mainly because I no longer
maintain BISON/FLEX tools.

I've once tried some binaries, but failed for some reason I
cannot remember anymore. But I've seen stuff compiled
with xhb which worked on my system, the Visual IDE
I believe (but that one crashed after a while).

It's not a blanket statement, there were a few points where
I wanted to check some things, but failed, which probably
rather shows my slim efforts, rather than the quality of xhb,
as we all know that many ppl are using it, which means it
can be made work, obviously.

Viktor

Viktor,

I just meant that a blanket statement like that seems to imply far greater problems than reality would show to be the case with xHarbour.

If you've _never_ been able to build it or run _any_ binaries, then surely the problem is on your end.

That would make the most sense to me.

Paul
