No please don't. There are situations where gtcrs is necessary.

Please don't touch what you don't use and don't know.

There is nothing obscure in bash scripts. There is a huge
documentation and tons of sites related.

I'm also not a bash guru, so let's leave to Przemyslaw to maintain
*nix environment.
