Please tell me what these switches are exactly supposed
to do, I've reversed the meaning of -hbcmp and -hbcc to your
bug report (first few points) a few days ago ;)

-hbcmp will create .c files.
-hbcc will create object / .res files.

[ Until your bug report it was the opposite. I've even speculated
about it in my answer, but got no clarification. ]
