Yes, it's an option, but first we need to wait a bit until hbmk2 is mature/tested enough on all platforms, also for lib generation. After this, and that we've made it the default make tool in Harbour, we can reconsider using it instead of using GNU Make for contribs. This would certainly give a lot of flexibility since all these contribs would then be fully untied from our SVN bits, so they could easily be moved on and off our tree.
First I'll switch to hbmk2 for my local projects and test it on all platforms.
