Hello All
I am asigned a project to develop an application
to manage documents ( company wide ) to
provide a paperless environment. Application
needs to be responsible for scanning, storing and
locating the scanned documents on demand.
The <LOCATing> part seems to be tricky and demands
a careful planning how the images will be recognized
based on different search criteria.
May be someone of you has/had undergone a project
like this, and may be willing to share his experiences,
will be highly appreciated.
I plan to execute this project on following lines:
1) Develop hbxbp.lib, Xbase++ compatible parts to base its GUI.
2) To base hbxbp.lib on QT.
3) In the process design and implement storage and locating strategy.
4) Implement QT's powerful Widgets on PRG level which could not
be done through Xbase++ parts.
This effectively endorses three-way development, QT, Xbase++Parts,
and the project.
Any thoughts, suggessions, code, anything is welcome.
Regards
Pritpal Bedi
