Our SVN dump is 12.4GB in size uncompressed. It's currently @ 1.5GB bz2 compressed, but it's not done yet. This means doing such dump is so costly that I'm awaiting for ideas how to solve it, or someone with fast computer and high upstream bandwidth.
Dump is that huge probably because of our ChangeLog file, as it seems to be included in *every* change in the last ~4000 commits. If I knew that, I probably opt for some different method, now I'll split ChangeLog into a pre-1.0.1 section called ChangeLog-old, and this file will periodically get entries moved from main ChangeLog. This will give a good balance between searchability / maintainability and SVN dump friendliness. [ maybe we should migrate to GIT, but I don't know if it solves this one. ] Brgds, Viktor _______________________________________________ Harbour mailing list [email protected] http://lists.harbour-project.org/mailman/listinfo/harbour
