So it behaves like a task switching not OS threads. Without function
call it does not switch execution context so only second thread is
executed. It's interesting to check what happens when long working
C function is executed.

It should not exit without user interaction (ESC key).
I guess that it's results of some internal error.
Can you check if you some error log files are created?

AFAIK it's not the last xbase++ version.
I would like to see also results from current xbase++ versions.
