Now I've retested a few different revs and combinations,
and it seems that the bitmap in column feature is the culprit.
The difference is not so huge I thought the first time,
but apparent. With the icon column displayed, besides being
slower, the navigation (both horizontal and vertical) regularly
stops for small moments (this effect goes away after navigating
some.) so it gives it a slightly non-smooth feel. Navigation
speed also seems to fluctuate when keeping cursor button pressed.
